Normedi Nordic is continuing supporting Mèdecins Sans Frontières (MSF) in their important work throughout the world. In this short video you can see some of the activities MSF has achieved in 2018.
“MSF brings humanitarian medical assistance to victims of conflict, natural disasters, epidemics or healthcare exclusion. They offer basic healthcare, perform surgery, fight epidemics, rehabilitate and run hospitals and clinics, carry out vaccination campaigns, operate nutrition centres, and provide mental healthcare. MSF`s activities include the treatment of injuries and disease, maternal care and the provision of humanitarian aid. Where necessary, we set up sanitation systems, supply safe drinking water, and distribute relief to assist survival.”

Karolinska University Hospital Huddinge, has now implemented VIKY in their ordinary surgical routines. VIKY/UP is used to maintain a proper traction on the uterus to enable accurate dissection and to keep unwanted structures out of the operating field and the EP version provides extremely stable images, eliminating camera shaking and the eye fatigue it causes, especially during longer procedures. We are looking forward to continue our collaboration with Karolinska University Hospital and we are proud to be a selected robotic partner for the hospital.

Eight procedures are now done with our new robotized needle holder JAIMY™ Advance. The procedures are done in four different Finnish hospitals and the feedback is eminent. Faster suturing, ease of use, good ergonomics, great tissue access and fast learning curve is some of the comments we have received. More procedures are scheduled in Finland before JAIMY arrive Sweden later in May.
